Three kids drown in Vaal Dam

Police are investigating after three children aged 7, 8, and 9, drowned in the Vaal Dam at Deneysville in the Free State on Saturday. The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) spokesperson Craig Lambinon explained they responded to a call on Saturday afternoon when it was reported that four children from the local area had gone for a swim. He said three of the children disappeared under the water. All emergency services were alerted and following an intensive search the police recovered the bodies of the three children.
