In this week’s edition of Being Green, Glynis Crook speaks to Dr Heather Walton who is a senior lecturer in environmental health at King’s College London. She’s the lead author of a new study which shows that some 1,000 Londoners are hospitalised every year with asthma and serious lung conditions due to harmful air pollution. They discuss the expanding list of potential negative health effects of poor air quality and look at what London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan, is doing to improve the situation.
