Stephen Thakeng on 34 year old Welkom man arrested for possession of firearm and ammunition

A 34-year-old man believed to be a Lesotho national will soon appear at the Welkom Magistrate's Court after he was found with an illegal firearm and ammunition. This is according to police spokesperson in the Free State, Stephen Thakeng, who said that this comes after he was yesterday arrested by members of the Public Order Police’s (POP) Reaction team after they caught him and an accomplice at a suburb in the area.
