On 18 January this year, many South Africans will be surprises ed by a free rose as part of The Rose Initiative, a campaign in commemoration of the blessed birth of the Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon Him) who was sent as a "Mercy for all the worlds" in line with Islamic beliefs. The campaign is hosted by the Chiragh-e-Chishtia Foundation based in Durban with the intention of further creating religious tolerance awareness amongst fellow South Africans.
