As the 2020 academic year is fast approaching, the one concern we face annually is the number of children not being placed at school and who are shown away because schools are simply too full. The 2020 academic year begins on Wednesday, and with pupil enrollment in the Western Cape growing at an average of 18 000 children per year, the Education Department said schools were already full and had long waiting lists.
