Update on New Heights Travel case

Loads of developments have taken place in the case of Fazila Khan Seedat, the director of New Heights Travel who was arrested last month. Fazila was re-arrested on Monday on two additional charges – this in relation to alleged umrah fraud and theft. As you would recall, the embattled umrah operator is accused of defrauding hundreds of umrah clients, after she did not deliver on umrah packages which they had paid in full. The monies owed, which includes loans from some clients, amounts to R5 million.
We joined now by one of her clients, who has taken up the cudgels on behalf of all aggrieved clients, Mr Muhammad Mayet. Now we just need to emphasize, that we invited a representative of the Malek family to join in the discussion on air, unfortunately, they declined.
