Teko: What Orlando Pirates needs... The Carwash

--:--
Former Buccaneers star Teko Modise gives his thoughts on what the team needs in order to end their 6-year trophy drought. “For Orlando Pirates, the reality is they need additions into the team, yes they have a good squad but they need maybe three or four additions not merely based on talent, but also the leadership”, he told SL Radio.

Despite a large squad overhaul during the last transfer window, which saw 15 players leave the team while 11 new signings were made, Orlando Pirates are heavily linked with the likes of Thulani Hlatshwayo, Richard Ofori & Bradley Grobler. Modise describes these potential signings as necessary to the side’s style of play. He adds, “For those who believe in structural football, they’ll tell you that the spine of the team is important, like the striker, the central midfield, a centre back or a goalie”.

The two-time PSL Footballer Of The Year winner also comments on whether he believes that Pirates supporters will be patient next season, stating “If Chiefs win the league this time around, they’ll expect [Pirates] to win it next season”.
