This forms part of the Eat and Succeed series and we talked to Cindy van Zyl from the UFS Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. She talks about viewing adequate sleep as a biologic necessity like food, water, or air, and make it a priority. Also how to spend an appropriate amount of time asleep in bed, not too little or too excessive and during test and exam times when there is little time available to sleep, remember that brief naps of just ten minutes are enough to notably improve performance and alertness.
