Gender Based Violence Dialogue Part 1 on #ProgressiveTalk

Transport and community Safety MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya is urging men to be part of the solution in the fight against the scourge of gender-based violence. Last week Thursday, she was with us in the studio leading a dialogue on Gender Based Violence, giving direction on the strategic position her department is taking to curb the killings. Few days after the dialogue, we had a case in Phalaborwa where a man shot and killed his wife, the cousin before turning the gun on himself. He was earlier reported for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter. On Wednesday we got another report where the MEC reacted with shock following the death of a 67-year-old woman and her two grandchildren at Maokeng village in Senwabarwana who were discovered with gapping wounds.
