Why Downs Could Lose To Highlands Park...

--:--
Mamelodi Sundowns have had a tough time since the return of local football, having already beaten Bidvest Wits in a five-goal thriller in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals and having earned a point in a hard-fought fixture against Orlando Pirates in the Premier Soccer League (PSL). Next, they’ll take on Owen Da Gama’s Highlands Park in a match that many would expect them to win as they continue to hunt Kaizer Chiefs in the title race.

Former Sundowns star Teko Modise has taken a different view of the match, stating that the ‘Lions of the North’ could edge the reigning champions and cause an upset. Speaking to SL Radio, Modise stated “It’s gonna be tough one, I think Owen Da Gama has an opportunity to beat Sundowns because he watched two games that Mamelodi Sundowns has played [since restart]. So he’s got an advantage to analyse them and see their weaknesses and punish.”

“What I like about Highlands is they’ve got speed, they’ve got the hunger, they’ve got the desire. Watch out on Friday, I see Sundowns losing against Highlands Park.”
