Shonisani Lethole , a businessman that was admitted to Tembisa hospital east of Johannesburg with breathing difficulties last year died before receiving his results, which showed that he had tested positive for COVID-19. Lethole used Twitter just days before his death to reach out to Health Minister Zweli Mkhize saying he was being starved and pleaded for help. The Health Ombudsman has investigated the care of businessman Lethole and found substandard and negligence. Lethole died at Tembisa Tertiary Hospital in June 2020.Ombudsman Malegapuru Makgoba found several disturbing errors were made regarding Lethole's healthcare.
