The go-ahead that was given to allow for the legal growing of cannabis in South Africa for medicinal and recreational purposes, has been welcomed by the North West Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. MEC Desbo Mohono said during a webinar, which focussed on growing cannabis in the North West, that this is an opportunity to help create jobs that will help tackle poverty in the province.
