This week its #BestOfTheBest on The World Show with NickyB Kaya 959 with the multiple award-winning music icon and humanitarian Yvonne Chaka Chaka - Princess of Africa Dubbed the "Princess of Africa", Yvonne has been at the forefront of South African pop music for over 35 years and has released more than 20 albums and numerous singles. In 1981, Yvonne was the first black child to appear on South African TV, and one of the first local artists to gain popularity across the continent. She has performed for presidents and royalty and has shared the stage with Bono, Angélique Kidjo, Annie Lennox, Youssou N'Dour, Johnny Clegg, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and many others. As a human rights activist, her work is invaluable - she’s a champion for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and malaria, the United Nations MDG Envoy for Africa, and the Goodwill Ambassador for the Roll Back Malaria Partnership.
