Convicted kidnapper, rapist escapes from custody

An inmate Clatta Gumbo escaped from custody during a hospital visit in Pretoria. The
inmate appears to have attacked an official, enabling him to escape. He is serving a life
sentence for kidnapping and rape. Phemelo speaks to Correctional Services Spokesperson,
