Lightning Strikes Eikenhof Pump Station Again

The Eikenhof pump station tripped again on Monday night due to a suspected lightning strike at the Orlando substation in Soweto.
The latest outage comes after more than two weeks of water woes for parts of Johannesburg. Sizwe Dhlomo and Sol Phenduka shared their experiences with lightning. They asked listeners to share if they’ve recently had to deal with lightning damage and what the damages were.
