ACSA is looking to grow connectivity to the continent and other international regions.

GUEST - Mpho Rambau Acting Group Manager Traffic Development at Airports
Company South Africa

Global geopolitical developments and South Africa’s sluggish economy will likely play a major role in reshaping
Airport Company South Africa’s (ACSA) traffic development strategy over the next decade, as the domestic market is expected to continue to struggle.

The country's sluggish economic growth is anticipated to have a direct impact on domestic air traffic. Although
we have made significant strides, domestic air traffic recovery seems to be peaking, despite this market segment not reaching pre-COVID-19 passenger traffic volumes. As a result, ACSA's strategic focus has shifted to leverage opportunities within Africa and
beyond to drive growth in the South African market and across our airport network.

A large part of this strategy will involve harnessing initiatives such as the Single African Air Transport
Market (SAATM) to improve the connectivity to the rest of the continent.
