About two years ago, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi announced a plan to introduce new “tamper-proof” vehicle licence plates in South Africa’s economic hub. The original launch date was supposed to be 1 April 2024. KZN has already rolled out their new number plate system. The team weighed in on the reasons for changing number plates and shared their favourite number plates.
