The story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The story is told through the eyes of Rafiki, played by legendary South African actor Dr John Kani (older Rafiki) and Kagiso Lediga (younger Rafiki)
