SA-US relations: Trump meets with Ramaphosa at the White House

US President Donald Trump has maintained his stance in the presence of President Cyril Ramaphosa that Afrikaner people are being targeted in a genocide in South Africa. Trump is hosting a South African delegation led by Ramaphosa at the White House in Washington on Wednesday. The primary purpose of the bilateral meeting is to reset the turbulent diplomatic relationship between the two countries. Responding to journalists at the Oval Office a short while ago, Trump reiterated his concern over what he believes is a dire situation in South Africa.
