Bafana Bafana’s coach for the upcoming COSAFA Cup in Bloemfontein, Vela Khumalo, is confident they can lift the trophy once again.
A strong South African team has been assembled for the tournament, which will also serve as preparation for the 2025 African Nations Championship taking place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in August.
Most players in the South African squad have senior national team experience, which could prove valuable.
Khumalo believes his team has what it takes to win a first COSAFA Cup title since 2018.
