Join Mark Creter as he chats with Andrea Kruska, a landscape and nature photographer whose lifelong passion began in high school when she discovered her dad’s vintage film camera. Since officially launching her photography journey in 2019, Andrea has melded traditional film techniques—learned through classes and self‑instruction—with her keen eye for capturing the hidden beauty in nature. She dives into the mindful, almost meditative process of film development, comparing the tactile feel of film to the convenience of digital. Plus, she discusses her role in tourism branding at Tennessee Tech and how visual storytelling shapes rural community identity.
