Springbok 8th-man Jasper Wiese is facing a lengthy ban following his straight red card on Saturday during the second Test against Italy in Gqeberha.
During a heated moment on the field, the former Cheetahs loose forward headbutted Italian loosehead prop Danilo Fischetti in the 22nd minute of the match.
While the Boks still went on to crush the Azzurri 45-0 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, the incident robbed Wiese of the opportunity to be on the field when his younger brother Cobus made his debut.
Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus said they will give Wiese all the support he needs.
