A lack of partnerships once again cost the Proteas, as they suffered a seven-wicket defeat to New Zealand in the T20 International Tri-Series in Harare.
The Proteas were restricted to 134 for 8 in their 20 overs, with Reeza Hendricks top-scoring with 41.
In reply, New Zealand wicketkeeper Tim Seifert smashed an unbeaten 66 to steer the Black Caps to victory.
Hendricks said the team will focus on improving their batting ahead of the final.
