Today’s conversation is one that sits at the intersection of art, activism, and African storytelling. We’re shining a spotlight on a powerful stage production titled: “The Struggle for Swaziland, Resistance Play.” This production explores the lived realities of political resistance in Eswatini, telling the story of people pushing back against oppression, in a way that many of us can connect to, especially given South Africa’s own history. The play is brought to life by Drama for Life, in collaboration with Botsotso Publishing, and will be staged right here at Emakhaya Theatre at Wits University on the 16th and 17th of May at 3PM. Tickets are also very accessible just R120, and R80 for students. Joining me in studio Precious who is part of this incredible production.
