Public Service Commission gets new powers over municipalities

The Public Service Commission has been given expanded powers to investigate personnel and governance matters in municipalities, following the signing of new legislation by President Cyril Ramaphosa. The changes also extend the PSC’s role to state-owned companies and give it greater autonomy to strengthen accountability across government. Phemelo speaks to PSC Commissioner Adv Neo Sepoti.
