The South African Municipal Workers’ Union (SAMWU) says it will continue its fight for outstanding employee benefits linked to a 2016 agreement with the City of Johannesburg. SAMWU says billions remain unpaid, with regional secretary Thobani Nkosi arguing that workers are demanding money owed to them. Phemelo speaks to Nkosi about the dispute and the union’s next steps.
