Agri Committee Chair speaks on departmental plans

The Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries this week considered and adopted the report on the Strategic Plan, Annual Performance Plan and the Budget of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF). OFM News’ agri editor Sabrina Dean spoke to Committee Chair Machene Semenya, who says one of the big issues is a concern that the agriculture department does not have sufficient funding to meet its medium term targets.
