OFM News’ agri editor Sabrina Dean speaks to Dr Faffa Malan, the general manager of the Ruminant Veterinary Association of South Africa, RuVasa. They discuss the latest animal disease report. The December report was compiled based on data from 120 different veterinary practices across the country. He says there have been outbreaks of diseases such as lumpy skin disease, three-day stiff-sickness and bluetongue, among others. He also raised concerns about the possibility of Rift Valley fever outbreaks.
