Thulani Sibisi is a champion for many reasons; he won the 1986 Two Oceans and survived stage 3 prostate cancer and lived to tell the tale. He is know a cancer activist and has partnered with the Prostate Cancer Foundation to spread the message about the importance of knowing one’s status. Sibisi says Afropolitan men must go for an annual prostate cancer test in order to avoid being a victim of the silent killer. Sandile van Heerden and Mosibodi Whitehead spoke to him on the sidelines of the Hollard #DaredevilRun2020 which brings together thousands of men for a 5km run in purple speedos to raise awareness for prostate and testicular cancer.
