7 minutes with Kekelingo

--:--
From performing on European stages to the Apollo Theatre in New York, Gregory Kekeletso “Keke” Mabusela of The Muffinz fame has now embarked on a new journey as a solo artist. Unathi kicks off the conversation with Keke reminiscing the last time they shared a stage together. Keke goes on to share his approach to making music and the differences/similarities of creating music in a group vs as a solo artist. He fondly shares his bond with the members of The Muffinz with Unathi and goes on to talk about his spiritual approach to making and receiving music from uMoya…

Kekelingo’s debut single was released a few weeks ago and is titled Khonza [featuring Ami Fako] - Khonza is sung in Kekelingo’s own spiritual language, which we were first introduced to and became familiar with on The Muffinz projects. Kekelingo is expressed and sung through chant, with no meaning but translates through an emotive feeling.
