She speaks about the June 19 and 26 issue which is currently available on shelves in shops. In the feature section an interview with Sewis van der Horst, the 2019 Toyota new harvest winner, is a must read. Van der Horst began his path in farming by working for another farmer. He however managed to become a farmer exporting fruit on his own. Van der Horst runs the farm Loufontein in Villiersdorp since he took over that farm in 2016. During that time golden delicious apples were produced at about 47 tons per hectare. Now a few years onward 90 tons per hectare are produced. This just shows the effort and passion that Van der Horst has put into building up this farm. He also employees about 21 permanent workers and employees seasonal workers as well.

Erasmus says the magazine also focuses on poultry production and there is exciting details about a competition running.

News on the magazine's website features a few articles in the last week in which the impact of the severe cold weather conditions is tracked and how it affected farmers and the entire industry. This brought about some bad news for wine farmers who have been through a lot of challenges thus far especially with the ban on alcohol sales during the Covid-19 lock down. These farmers are suffering further with export losses and delays as ships cannot enter the Cape Town harbour due to the bad weather conditions.
